Juniors Program

The Bethany Volunteer Explorer Post is comprised of Bethany youth ages 14-17. The program offers its participants the opportunity to become familiar with the fire and emergency medical services. Explorers are welcome and encouraged to attend the Bethany Volunteer Fire Department's Tuesday night training sessions. Members of our Juniors Program will work side by side with BVFD members to learn the essential skills of firefighting and/or EMS. Explorer members will also have opportunities to attend training outside of the Bethany Fire Dept., which includes training at the Connecticut State Fire Academy in Windsor Locks. Explorers will always be under supervision of a BVFD member over 18 years of age and follow the rules and regulations of the State of Connecticut Department of Labor. Join us any Tuesday night at 7:00pm at Fire Headquarters for more information and an application!
